Just down from the Centre is Sunderland Aquatic Centre which has a swimming Pool and Gym, The Stadium of Light, home to Sunderland Football Club for those who enjoy watching “the beautiful game”, the National Glass Centre, which reflect the glass making tradition of Sunderland and next to the Glass Centre is St Peter’s Church which was built in 674AD. Further down the road to these facilities is the sea side. Within a short drive is the City Centre of Sunderland which has The Winter Gardens and an extensive Museum which reflects the life and times of the people of Sunderland throughout the ages. In the other direction from Hylton View is the famous haunted Hylton Castle and the local Village of Boldon.

Hylton View Care Centre is well service by local transport, there are numerous local buses which serve the area, the nearest train station is 10 minute drive away. The Metro Station is within a 10 minute walk and Hylton View Care Centre is well placed for the A19 and the A1.
