General Information
Valley View, near Sunderland, provides Residential Care for up to thirty-eight individuals at a time, through regularly updated care packages that respect personal choice and freedom.
Advance techniques and skilled carers allow Valley View to specialise in dementia care, while the home itself is also suited to those with a physical disability under the age of 65yrs.
The home is rated Good with CQC, Gold with Sunderland Council and has won several awards for the service it provides including Health Watch star service award.

Penshaw House
Penshaw House opened in June 2019 and provides 6 high specification self-contained suites.
Each suite consists of a bedroom, lounge, en-suite, kitchenette. It also provides communal lounges, a kitchen, Laundry room and beauty salon.
Types of Care Available
Valley View & Penshaw House offers residential care for older people and is also registered to provide residential care for those with Dementia. Valley View also has a unit catering for younger people with a physical disability.

They not only care for the residents, but they have also taken the time to show care and compassion for our family also. So glad we found this place. My brother has been a resident of Valley View for approximately four months now receiving palliative care. All of the staff from the care home manager down to the carer who does the laundry could not have done more for my brother, from the minute you walk into the building to the moment you leave they are constantly keeping you informed of his condition. I know that the times we cannot beat the care home that my brother’s welfare is the staff’s number one priority. I would 100% recommend the care home.
