At the heart of our organisation, you’ll be based at our Valley View Head Office, while also playing a key role across all 27 of our homes — so flexibility and the ability to travel are essential!
Location: Valley View Care Home, Back Lane, Penshaw, Houghton Le Spring, DH4 7ER
Hours: 40 Per Week

Your Role:
This is a departmental leadership role where you’ll shape our IT strategy, develop infrastructure, and ensure seamless technology operations that support our teams to deliver outstanding care. You’ll work closely with senior leaders, manage projects end-to-end, and lead a dedicated IT team committed to excellence.
Departmental Responsibilities:
- Provide vision and leadership in all aspects of IT delivery and IT strategy
- Lead IT projects, including the design and deployment of new IT systems, infrastructure, and services
- Monitor and further develop the existing IT infrastructure
- Analyse business requirements by working closely with senior management team across the business to provide competent solutions
- Communicate with management team on IT related issues
- Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
- Plan and execute technological changes effectively considering the business output requirements and provide training if necessary· Manage IT Licensing requirements
- Monitor and maintain IT assets and information security
- Ensure delivery of hardware, software and all other IT equipment for business requirements in a timely manor
- Manage BCDR planning and business continuity
Management Responsibilities:
- Take responsibility for daily IT requirements across the company
- Line management of the IT team; including mentoring, appraisals, and performance reviews
- Direct, coach and support IT technicians in daily tasks or escalated troubleshooting
- Manage and maintain positive working relationships with IT Service Providers ensuring cost effectiveness
- Manage and coordinate with external providers for support, testing and project managing upgrades
What We’re Looking For:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar IT Manager/IT Project Manager role
- Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
- Experience of working with MS Server products and Hyper-V
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the Microsoft 365 suite
- Experience of developing a high performing team from recruitment to investing in their capability, motivation, and support
- Fluent English language, both verbal and written
- Willingness to enhance individual knowledge in areas of development
