36 HOURS PER WEEK – £12.50 PER HOUR

Nestled in the heart of North Shields just eight miles north-east of Newcastle upon Tyne, a warm welcome is always found at The Ferns where a full calendar of diverse activities means there’s always something going on for residents to enjoy.

Some of the key responsibilities for our cooks are :

· Prepare, cook and serve hot and cold meals, as and when required

· Provide for special dietary requirements where necessary, and take into account the preferences of individual residents

· Maintain accurate records of food supplies, and freezer / fridge temperatures

The ideal candidate will;

• Ideally have at least 1 years’ experience in a similar role preferably within a care home
• Have a Food Safety and Hygiene Certificate, or be willing to work towards
• Be an excellent communicator and the ability to work well with others
