Salary: £12.21 Per Hour
Hours: 22 Hours Per Week

Your Role:
As a Kitchen Assistant/Relief Cook, you’ll play a key part in creating a warm, welcoming mealtime experience for our residents. Your day will involve keeping the kitchen running smoothly through essential cleaning duties, assisting the Head Cook and serving meals. You’ll also have the opportunity to step up and cover the Head Cook during annual leave or sickness, giving you valuable experience, career development and variety in your role. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to develop, enjoys a hands-on job and takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and friendly kitchen environment.
You`ll be responsible for:
· Ensuring dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are washed and ready for use
· Keeping kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas clean and organised
· Assisting with basic food prep tasks such as peeling, chopping, and portioning
· Supporting mealtime service and stepping in for the Head Cook when needed
· Following all food hygiene, health, and safety standards to keep our residents safe
What we`re looking for:
· Level 2 Food Safety Certificate (or a willingness to train—full support provided)
· Previous kitchen or catering experience
· Someone who can follow instructions confidently and work independently when required
· A reliable, flexible, and friendly team player who takes pride in their work and likes to be on the go.
· Experience with Dementia preferred but not essential
