General Information
Long Meadow is a Residential Care home with a CQC ‘Good’ inspection outcome in January 2019, providing accommodation with personal care for up to 41 people. Our highly skilled and qualified care team provide around the clock care and have extensive knowledge as well as first-hand experience of varying medical diagnosis such as: Alzheimer’s Disease, Vascular Dementia, Lewy Body Disease, Fronto-temporal Dementia, Early Onset Dementia, Dementia, Parkinson’s Disease and Epilepsy to name a few.
Long Meadow is situated in the picturesque, rolling countryside of the Derbyshire Dales. Renowned for its quality care, strong relationship with multidisciplinary teams in the local area, welcoming environment, extensive wildlife gardens and private lake, boasting the famous Peak Rail Steam Train passing by at the foot of the grounds.
Facilities and Services
We have our own minibus which is used to go out weekly on various trips.
We have a hairdresser who frequently visits.
A private chiropodist visits the home regularly.
Regular activities are provided by our experienced coordinator.
We have a visiting optician.

I am extremely satisfied with the service, personal care and support my mum receives from the staff and carers at Long Meadow. My mum has been a resident for nearly 12 months. The care, dignity, social activities she has is constantly outstanding.
My mum is very happy and content and this is brilliant to see. She has vascular dementia and Alzheimer's and needs to have constant care. The staff and carers make sure she is cared for. Since going into residential care my husband settled down within 4 days. He loves the staff which are very kind and the staff are very good with him. Thought he might pester to go home but doesn't mention it. It's early days yet but I hope he carries on the way he is. The home is very homely and has lovely views and the meals are very good.

Mum and dad have just spent 5 weeks of respite at Long Meadow. The room was lovely, spacious and clean with views out on the duck pond and Peak rail line, with steam trains passing by.
The manager and her staff are lovely and can't do enough for the residents and family.
The meals are excellent and the home provides entertainment, hairdresser, chiropodist and optician which we took advantage of.
