Hamilton House Care Home Celebrates a Successful Open Week

Hamilton House Care Home opened its doors to the local community last week with a vibrant and heartwarming Open Week, welcoming visitors for three themed Open Days filled with entertainment, treats, and togetherness.

The event was a fantastic opportunity for families, friends, and community members to experience the warm and lively spirit of the home, and it certainly didn’t disappoint.

We started day one by hosting a sophisticated cheese and wine evening, where guests mingled, laughed, and enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere.

Day Two kept the excitement going with more live entertainment and a selection of ice creams that delighted residents and guests alike on a warm summer’s day.

The celebration wrapped up on Day Three with touching performances from volunteer singers from the local community, and a charming Teddy Bear Picnic that brought smiles to everyone’s faces – young and old.

The success of Open Week was made possible by the generous donations from residents’ families and the tireless efforts of the Hamilton House team. Special recognition was given on the final day to three standout staff members: Charlotte (Activity Organiser), Sue (Carer), and Gail (Cook). Their dedication, creativity, and hard work played a vital role in making the week so special for everyone involved.

The event not only showcased the vibrant life at Hamilton House but also strengthened community ties and highlighted the importance of joy, music, and shared moments in care settings.

Hamilton House extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who took part in the celebrations and helped create unforgettable memories.
