Springfield House Hosts Fun-Filled Summer Fair

Residents, relatives and staff at Springfield House Care Home enjoyed a wonderful afternoon at their annual Summer Fair, held on Saturday 6th September.
The event took place on the front lawn of the home, where stalls, music and plenty of treats created a lively and welcoming atmosphere. Families, staff, and friends of Springfield House all pitched in to make the fair a success.
Homemade cakes prepared by the home’s cook, Adam, proved a hit with visitors, while stalls run by relatives, staff members and volunteers offered games, bric-a-brac and traditional favourites such as Hook-a-Duck. Jennings also supported the event by running a raffle, and Skyline Catering kindly donated a range of real ice cream and loaned an ice cream bike for the day.
Entertainment came from singer Ritchie Vee, who delighted the crowd with a performance of classic songs. Residents and their families sang and danced along on the lawn, creating a joyful community spirit.
Organisers expressed their gratitude to everyone who contributed to the fair, from volunteers and staff to relatives and local businesses. Special thanks went to Louise from the Activities Team for her hard work in coordinating the day.
The fair was described as “a truly memorable afternoon” by attendees, who praised the warm atmosphere and strong sense of community.
