My name is Hilary Miller, I am the Registered Manager of Cedar Grange in Cherry Burton.
In 1993 I started my career in Adult Social Care, I initially worked for North Yorkshire County Council, I worked my way up through various positions and became the operational manager of a 37 bedded home in 2001, registered with the Care Quality Commission. I feel by working my way up it allowed me to experience hands on care and allows me, as a manager, to see all aspects of care delivery. Whilst with the council I gained my NVQ Level 4, Diploma in the management of Care Services and Registered Manager’s award.
I have continued to work within the Care Sector, I managed a care home in Harrogate and Leeds prior to commencing with Roseberry Care Centres GB Ltd in 2012.
